News Tools for Local Agencies<\/p>\n

The legislation gives local agencies new tools to manage groundwater sustainably. For example, groundwater sustainability agencies may:<\/p>\n

  • Require registration of wells and measurement of extractions<\/li>\n
  • Require annual extraction reports<\/li>\n
  • Impose limits on extractions from individual groundwater wells<\/li>\n
  • Assess fees to implement local groundwater management plans<\/li>\n
